Hi, Betty
My grandmother was a Beene. However, I know
that back some time after the initial migra-
tion to this country from Scotland, the name
was changed from McBeene to Beene. This is
a big problem. I checked my line and don't
see your John S. but I am still researching
this and will let you know if I come up with
anything. They all seem to have come from
Mississippi. Mine all went to Arkansas.
