Evelyn,
Jacob Beeler (1761-1842), son of John V. Beeler, stated under oath in court when he applied for his pension that he had moved to the Holston River farm in what became TN in April 1770. See S.5277. He was 8 in April 1770 when John V. moved the family south to that farm. It answered the questions required by the Act of 7 June 1832. There is no primary documentation that I know of that can dispute it. Do you have any?
They were also neigbhors of John Crockett and Isaac Shelby. Both of them were at KM with John V. Beeler's sons, Joseph and Jacob.
As I said before, I saw no Hacker "line" through John V. Beeler. I didn't mean to infer they didn't know them.
If you read S.5277, you will also see a Newton Hacker in the file.
Hope this helps,
Ken
