Your William is probably not related to the Barton-on-Humber Beecrofts.
On the 1881 census index your William, aged 42, wife Anne, aged 36 and 4 children are in Buckminster, Leicestershire. William states he was born in Market Overton, Rutland and could be the son of William Beecroft and Maria Eaglesfield, who marry in Greetham, Rutland on 1 Dec 1831.
