I do not know if this will help you any, but my 3rd great grandfather, Hugh A. Beachum (1806-1861)of Anson County, NC, had a brother, Daniel S. Beachum (1810-1886) who went to Henderson County, Tennessee as a young man. He married twice and had 7 children. His first wife was Martha Piles (4 children) and the second was Vina Shephard (3 children.)Daniel later moved to Wilcox County, Alabama and later to Clarke County, Mississippi, where he died. I believe all of his children were born in Tennessee and some of them remained there. The only one I have a name for is G. W. "Beacham" who was born in 1834. The above information comes from a book titled "Goodspeed's History of Henderson County" which was published in the late 1800s or early 1900s. Someone sent me a copy of a page from it, and if I can find that page, it might have more than the information I copied into my notes about G. W. Beacham. I have seen the family name spelled with many different variations. The families which remained in Anson County, NC tended to spell it "Beachum" but the story goes that it was originally "Beauchamp." I have a bit more information on the Beachums of Anson County, if you think there is a connection.
