It may be a coincidence, but a branch of Cowpers settled in Missouri and Illinois in the mid 1800s, and their brother, John was married to Maria Beeby of Northamptonshire. A branch of Beebys apparently lived in Northamptonshire (as did a branch of Cowpers)from the 1500s. Hope this is useful.
