Hi Julie:

I had a chance late in the week to check records at the library in East Haddam. Unfortunately this time was no more productive than before. There were no baptismal records for any of Gideon's children either in vital records or in the Millington Congregational Church records, which was the one in Millington. I was able to check into the East Haddam Congregational Church records and found nothing there. I will still get in touch with Dr. Stofko, and even check if there might be anything in Colchester. Let me know if you have any ideas.
