I am researching the Gideon and Delina Rogers Beebe family. According to the 1800 of East Haddam, CT and 1810 census of Luzerne Co, PA, they had a daughter in their household who would have been born between 1797 and 1800 as she was listed in the youngest child catagory of the 1800 census. I assume that a birth record exists for her in East Haddam, CT and I would like to find out her name. She is a chief suspect to be the mother of my great great grandfather, Pierce B. Bissell (circumstantial evidence). Can anyone check the records of East Haddam for this birth or have the records already transcribed that they could check? This is my biggest question and would love to know her name and birth information. Since she was alive in the 1810 census, she survived the move to PA and should have been the right age to have married about 1814. I know that there should be a birth between 1797 and 1800 for a son, Byron, also. I don't know for sure which was born first, the girl or boy. The Beebes left East Haddam for Luzerne Co, PA sometime between 1800 and 1810. There was possibly another son born in East Haddam before they left (Titus). I would welcome any small piece of information on this Beebe family. I have traced them from Luzerne Co, PA to Huron Co, OH and on to St. Joseph, Kalamazoo and Cass Co, MI as well as one daughter, Nancy, who married Stephen Richardson, who moved on to Rock Island Co, IL. STephen Richardson was the brother in law to Titus Bronson who founded Kalamazoo, MI. Nancy's husband and son moved on after her death to the Dakotas. I haven't gotten any information from there yet. I will gladly share what information I have. The information on the LDS website and other internet sites omit some of the information on the children in one place and others on another and some aren't mentioned at all. I would like to know the names of those kids if anyone has them. Julie Bissell Tupker Notify Administrator about this message?
