This is very insightful. I am descended from the mentioned Sally Beebe, child of Rachel Starr(aluded to in this letter with her death datebut not explicitly named) and Jonathan Beebe. I am 11 generations below Sally Beebe.

I infer that you are also Rachel's ancestor then? With which husband? I referenced the website you suggested on the Starr forum. So then you and I are both descended from Comfort Starr?

Regarding the letter, it is interesting to note that Sally Beebe and husband Seth Abbott were from Vermont but moved to upstate New York(near Canadian border the name escapes me at the moment) around 1805 and died there around 1831.

This Starr website is great...I can't believe I didn't find it before.
