I know there are a lot of you out there, so I will choose this method to contact you.
Many of you have Wm Albert Beebe's grandfather as Hobson Beebe. It has been that way for several years, but it is probably a mistake. Proof of ancestry was found by Christie Laurence Ingham. She found in St. George where William Albert Beebe did proxy work for his grandfather - Joseph Beebe. He also did proxy for his Uncle Ruloff.
Joseph Beebe is a brother to Hobson Beebe. Their parents were Joseph Beebe and Christine Dutcher (De Duyster). Joseph was b. 15 Jan 1746/47 in Saybrook, Middlesex, CT. Md Christine Dutcher 9 Nov 1777. She was b. 1 March 1755.
Aside from William Albert Beebe statement as proxy, the additional proof is the name Ruloff. This is an unusual name, and it is a Dutcher family name (Roeloff).
Check this out and see if this is correct. The Beebe stuff is tough researching, but there are two sources on the Dutcher family. Go to http://www.genealogy.org/~smoore/dutchers Much there. Also, best stuff is found by searching for "New York Dutch Families". I do not know the address. Get there and move into Ulster County NY Dutch families. What you will find is De Duyster (Dutcher before Christine) with several generations back to the Netherlands in mid 1600's. Also will find maternal surnames of Martens, Sissum (Chisem), Cornelisse, Bresie and more. Most of these lived in Esopus (now Kingston, NY) from its beginnings.
