I'm pretty sure Richard A. Bee's wife, Minerva, was Minerva Charity Tucker, daughter of George B. and Margaret Tucker of Giles County, TN. I think she later married a Malone. I am descended from George B. Tucker's daughter, Linny, who married Gustin "Turner" Campbell.

George B. Tucker's will is abstracted on the Giles Co website http://www.rootsweb.com/~tngiles/wills/tucker2.htm. In the will, he mentions some of his children by name, but apparently he didn't name all of them. Also, the abstract fails to mention that George B. Tucker referred to his executors, Daniel A. Tucker and M.R. Tucker, as "my sons."

One part of the will stipulates that those [children] "who have not as yet received a horse....each in lieu of the horse.... thirty dollars." I went to the Giles Co courthouse and got a copy of the original will, and along with the will was a list of names of people who either "got a horse valued at $30.00" or "had no horse."

I have transcribed this list below and added some comments of my own that I have included in [brackets]. The (parentheses) included in my transcription are as they were in the original document. It doesn't state that this is a list of his children, but apparently that's what it is.

V.M. Tucker [Vardy]
Daniel A. "
G. Washing [George Washington]
M.R. [Martin Rufus]
John R.C.
Temperance H. Clark
Minerva Charity Bee wife of R.A. Bee
[the way this is written, they first had just "Charity Bee", then they went back and squeezed in "Minerva" in front of Charity, which makes me think she went by the name "Charity."]

[above named] } got a horse valued at $30.00

Elenor Kyle (and her children by Kyle)
Linny N. Campbell (wife of Gustin T. Campbell)
Lurany Bee wife of Wm. Bee
Rebecca Tucker
[above named] had no horses - $30.00

All had beds except M.R. & John R.C.
about $10.00

Also, I think that Minerva "Charity" Tucker Bee later married a Malone, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know for sure? The ages for her go 19, 28, 47, and then 40, so I'm not sure. Here's what I found in the census records of Giles County.
