Any BEE-HAMMOND Connections In GA?

Glenda,The Bee/Hammond in GA is still a mystery but I have found a Bee middle name in my husband's Ashley ancestry. The progression is this:Fletcher B. Ashley married Addie Beatrice Hammond (or Eunice).(Addie Beatrice's parentage is what I am searching for.)Anyway, Fletcher and Addie had a child named Jodie B. Ashley. No one in the family thought that "B" stood for anything but the initial.I went to view his grave and the name "Bee" is written on his tombstone.Addie Beatrice Hammond (Eunice) was born 14 Jan 1884 and died 21 Apr 1930.She is the daughter of a Hammond female.I'm presently working with two other researchers to find out just what Hammond family she descends from. We've about decided Addie's mother was either the child of Boswell B. Jr. and Mary Ann (1st wife) or Gussie Eunice, Nunis, Eunis, etc., (2nd wife).
Maybe we'll be able to go at this mystery from the Bee surname and solve the problem.I'm glad to know what the "B" stands for in all these Hammond names.
I have a wedding picture of Fletcher B. Ashley and Addie Beatrice Hammond (Eunice) with her mother standing behind them.On the back of the picture someone wrote "Etta" as the mother's name but I don't know who wrote it nor can I find an "Etta" daughter listed in any census records. The picture is posted on a Hammond/Miller MyFamily website. If you would like an invite to the website just send me a private email to [email protected] and I'll send you the link. There are more Hammond researchers involved here on this MyFamily page with many more pictures. When we have a brick wall like this the more of us who can share information, the better.Suzanne
