I know of this branch of the Beigh family. Amaziah Lyman Beigh was my paternal grandfather, my father being Clyde Henry Beigh. My grandmother, Olive Myrtle Gallahan Beigh, died when I was very young, so I have no memories of her whatsoever, not even a picture. Grandma and Granpa had a total of 8 children: Sons: Ray (dec.), Clyde, George (dec.), and ???? who died quite young. Daughters: Fern, Priscilla, Alta, and Viola (dec.) I loved my grandfather dearly. I am so pleased that in his last days, at Eastmoreland hospital in Portland, I was able to spend many, many lunch hours with him. The Beigh name is Gaelic, being the anglicised form of the Irish word "Beith", prounounced, in Irish, like the word bate. It means "Birch" as in tree. The name is quite rare but can be found on the Irish maps as a location name, most prominent being Rossbeigh. Regards, Henriette Cecile Beigh
