The will of Owen Seaney of Kent County, Delaware shows that he married MARTHA BEDWELL around 1745. The couple had at least nine children, from whom there are hundreds of descendants. Seaney's land in Kent County was "across the road from Wedmore that is owned by the Bedwell family." One of the children named in Seaney's will is "Mary (Seaney) Bedwell who intermarried a certain Elijah Bedwell."
Now, the question is: who was MARTHA BEDWELL??? I don't have her listed in any of the Bedwell genealogy info I have access to, nor have I seen her name mentioned before. I think it's safe to assume that she's of the Bedwell clan of Kent County, and thus descended from Robert Bedwell (b. 1635), but through whom? Anyone have any clue as to which Bedwell her father might be?
