I am searching for more info on our Kansas Bedwells. Not much to go on. My Great,great,Grandfather was Anderson(Andersen ?) Bedwell who came to Northeast Kansas sometime in early 1800's. I believe they settled in to what is Paola County?? Somewhere in and around Antioch,KS. He was married to an Elizabeth Read (Reid?)whom my Grandmother always swore was related (distant Uncle)somehow to the Signer Geo. Read. I have not been able to substantiate this,however. My Great grandfather was Jonathon Cameron Bedwell. My Grandmother was Muriel Melissa Bedwell. She had several siblings; the only ones that come to mind right now are Warren, William, and Laura. Previous to coming to Kansas, I believe they were said to have been in or migrated through a Bordertown/Watertown, Wisconsin. Any additional about this family would be appreciated.
