Hi Floyd, Just saw your posting on children of John & Sarah (Ogle) Bedwell. I'm descendant of Jesse B. Bedwell & Dorcas (Collins) - I have a history on the Bedwell family sent to me by Don Bedwell of Dalton, GA, which gives some info on John & Sarah's children & grandchldren. If you don't have this I will be happy to send a copy by "snail mail" as I don't have scanner. I also have my great-grandfather Pleasant Bedwell's application to the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Washington, D.C. in 1907 in which he declares his grandfather to be John Bedwell whose real name was John Foreman (3/4 Eastern Cherokee).
The Bedwell history fleshes out some of John & Sarah's family - Interesting!
I am descended from Pleasant & Mary Elizabeth (Rhodes) Bedwell thru their son, John Francis Bedwell, who was my paternal grandfather. My John is buried at West Hill cemetery in Dalton, GA. We have famlly pictures...will share and would love to hear from you.
