I don't know if this will help but found the following in book MORE OF THE UNFINISHED STORY OF HOWARD COUNTY pub. 1989

"Joseph Hugh Mourton and his wife, Elizabeth, were married December 28, 1843. They had four boys and two girls. The boys were Wm. I., John H., James H., and Jeremiah D. The girls were Mary A. R. D. and Martha A. A. K. They moved to Umpire and Athens in 1883, they they returned to Tennessee and back to Umpire in 1891. Joseph Hugh and Elizabeth are buried in Saline Cemetery (in Howard County.)
John H. Mourton and his children moved to Cherry Hill in Polk County in 1903. Their son, Henry, married Dove Ward; another sone married Mary Bedwell, both girls of Umpire. Martha A.A.K. Mourton lived at Umpire and around Mineola until she died. She had one son, Phillip, who gre up around Umpire. They farmed near Umpire, Mineola and Athens on the Saline River until they moved to Polk County.
Joseph Hugh Mourton was born in Ireland, and his wife was born in England. Both their parents came to the United States when they were young and moved into the same area in Georgia. They married in Georgia."
