Hi JD (my friend and help in Bedsole and English research) and all other Bedsole researchers!
I descend from Thomas and Charlotte English Bedsole. I also descend from Sampson J. English and his first wife whose name is unknown.
Charlotte and Sampson were born about the same time and the same place - 1790 in North Carolina. I have always expected to find that they are first cousins but the data is not easy to find. A page in Sampson's family bible lists his name and his birthday along with the names and birthdates of his siblings. There is no mention of his parents. We found his brother John's descendents but have never found any other data on his sisters. None of them were named Charlotte - but we only have one name per each and I am sure they had at least two given names.
Do any Bedsole researchers have any data on Charlotte English, wife of Thomas Bedsole, and/or her parents or siblings?
It would be great to solve this mystery!
