Re: Pennsylvania Dutch
These people came from Germany and have no relationship to Holland - they are really Pennsylvania Deutsch. Today they are Amish or Mennonites in Lancaster Co., PA and other areas throughout the US and Canada.
Many Quakers also lived in this area, but most came from Ireland where they had gone to escape persecution in England.
