I am a BIDGOOD living in Canada but originally from the UK. My line goes back through Manchester C19; Cardiff South Wales; Castle Cary and Haselbury Plucknett Somerset; to Beaminster Dorset C18. The name changed from BEDGOOD to BIDGOOD about 1830.
In addition to my own line I collect data on BIDGOOD/BEDGOOD and variants world wide and for any time prior to 1900. At present I have some 14,000 names and 4000 marriages om file.
Most of this data is for the UK, but there is a growing volume of information for USA, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
I will search for specific individuals or events on a no-charge basis.
New data which I can add to my files is always welcome, if you have such from your own research please contact me. Suggestions for new sites, forums, sources of BIDGOOD/BEDGOOD data are also of value to me, especially for non UK areas.
In addition the the Genealogical work I am interested in the type of work, place of residence, movement of BIDGOOD/BEDGOODs.
I have some information of Heraldry: a Devon BIDGOOD was awarded a Barony in C19; this has lapsed due to lack of male heirs.
