I don't have anything to add really, except I found your site and I like to look to see if anything sounds like it might lead to us. My grandfather, John Remington Bidgood, died in 1940's, leaving 5 boys and 1 girl. We understand one uncle traced us to England, but never followed up. We are now three generations in and around Oregon City, Oregon, USA. Nice to hear a family name!
