The Rev Nickolas Bedgebood intrigues me. Seems to have been weak on spelling - Bedgebood is a new variant to me, and even the Nickolas is unusual, while Glocheshire is definitely different. To be fair it could have been a clerk unfamiliar with these strange English names.
It would be interesting to learn more about him, for clergy are not common in the Bidgood/Bedgoods, most of them are connected with the Rockbeare family who had the title.
I have a fair knowledge of them so some dates when the Rev Nick was in USA should help confirm if he is one of these.

Bristol would be a convenient port for any one leaving North Devon or Somerset for the USA. Just as Plymouth would be the closest for those from Cornwall or S. Devon. I have not done any significant work on the shipping from either port in the C19 and C18, so cannot comment on how important they were for immigrant ships.
