From the records of CLARKE Co., MS:
Februaruy 1817
Samuel Bidgood was appraisor for the estate of Benj. J. Biddle (the surname of Biddle/Battle) is found in Washington Co., Ga records.) Con't:

Deed record: Dec 1817
Samuel B. Bidgood was a witness for a land transaction.

August 1819:
Samuel B.? Bidgood, dec'd

Oct. 1821
Will of William BASS; proven by James T. BIDGOOD

Aug 1819
Inquest in Jackson for the body of Charlotte, a mullato girl, etc.
On oath of Jesse PARKER, Thomas Hosea, Jos. P. Bidgood etc.

These records show that a Samuel Bidgood/BEDGOOD, a Jos. P. Bidgood/BEDGOOD,
were living in or about Jackson, Alabama (old Clarke County in the Mississippi Territory, and that a JAMES T. BEDGOOD (Carla's line) is a close relative of the above Bidgood's. James is listed in the City of Mobile in 1830 and in Conecuh County in 1840-1860.
I gave these records to Carla a couple of years ago. Can anyone identify the Benj., Jos (Joseph?)P., and Samuel B.? above? Obviously they are older Bidgoods/Bedgoods.

Best regards to all,
Kathryn in Houston
