Luetta Kirker: My line of Bedfords came down from Jonas Bedford who was married to Mercy Travis Raymond. As I understand it, they had a son James who had a son, Jonas Monroe Bedford. He was married to Anna Poole. Their children: Sarah Ann Bedford, Susan Bedford, Mary Catherine (Mollie) Bedford, John C. Bedford, Amanda Carter Bedford, William Charles Bedford, Jonas Bedford, Jesse Vesiz Bedford and Lawson Albert Bedford. Mary Catherine (Mollie) married John Hyram Walker. They were my father's Grandparents. I remember my Dad speak about his Grandmother Mollie. I have a picture of both Mary Catherine and John Hyram Walker.
Where I got most of my information is from a book about the Mayflower Pact Signers. Peter Brown(e) was the signer. I ordered the book, "Mayflower Families" Through Five Generations. Volume Seven - Peter Brown. I ordered this book through the New England Historic Genealogical Society. However, it was hard for me to follow the generations down so I ask a friend of mine to help me because she has been in Geneology and Historical Societies for years. She took me through the "Ephriam Tinkham, Mercy Tinkham and Mercy Travis Raymond. I am trying to figure out the rest of the story. I have it up to Jonas Monroe, so I only lack a few steps.
