Hi, When I saw that you Grandfather Walter Bedford was born in Verdon, Quebec, it rang a bell, my mother was born in the same place her name was Hilda Bedford, her parents were Ellen Pritchard, and Frederick Bedford, they came to Quebec, from Salford England, Fredericks fathers name was John Bedford, his mothers name was Mary A Parker, I have a census report saying John Bedford, was from Salford England, his childrens names were, John Thomas, Walter, Mary Ann, Georgina, and Frederick. this is a 1881 census, I wonder if your grandfather, was a son of this Walter? also, what seems to fit with my family is my family of Bedfords also has a way of disowning family members, or is this a Bedford trait???? Would be great to find this to be your line too, I'm having a terrible time looking into all my Bedford,
love to hear back from you Mary
