Henry, You are right. Benjamin Beckwith Sr. was born abt 1706-7 in Lyme, CT. (I don't know his wife.) Do you have names of any descendants of Benjamin and Hannah Pember? It would be exciting to learn that this is our line.
Family letters say that Benjamin's son Silas was born 1746 in Lyme, New London, CT and died in Crawford, IL after 1820. Silas married Anna Atwell and they had a son Benjamin Jr. born about 1791 (not 1746 as I previously typed).
Ben Jr. married Sarah Elmina Griswold. They had 8 children: Elijah, Ruth (m Grimes), Benjamin III, Anna, Minerva, Caroline (m Ira King), Sophia (m Abraham Cotterall), SARAH ELMINA BECKWITH who married ALEXANDER HOUSTON LOGAN. The Logans are our Great grandparents. Do any of these names appear in your tree?
