Dave,

You are a wealth of information!

My great great grandfather was Willis B. Holland, born 1818 in Wake County NC

His sister was Lucyntha Holland that married Green Beckwith.

Lucy and Willis had other brothers and sisters....Alsey, Bennett, Mabel etc.

Their father was David Henry Holland; and his father was Richard Holland who married Mary Edwards. Richard was a revolutionary patriot who qualified a Mrs. Rena Beckwith Horne Hunter to be a Daughter of the American Revolution.

Have you run into her or her relatives? Green and Lucinthia(Lucyntha) had a son named Calvin H Beckwith that is also her ancestor. He married Ann Hazeltine Holliman in 1853.

Rena says that she was born in Holly Springs NC and I know that Richard Holland of Nash Co. purchased land in Holly Springs next to Sampson Holland's land. Before Nash, I believe he was in Edgecombe Co.

Does any of this ring a bell, oh wise sage?

Please email me at deborahdotk@yahoo.com

Thanks and God Bless

Deborah
