Hi!...
My Aunt Amanda Beckwith did not survive the Titanic....she had a purse and some jewelry found. They contacted my father, but..he didnt want it. She was his fathers sister, and when she died he was so distraught, he too died..of a broken heart. My father was only 5 years old, but he remembered. As did his 2 other brothers. He thought the purse should have stayed with the wreck. It is currently on display with the rest of unclaimed or unwanted objects from this nightmare. I am wondering if she was related to this Richard? I only know of the three of them. Edwyn, Claude & Amanda. Perhaps there were more? Siblings? Cousins? Etc. She/(we) came from a wealthy family in Wales. Her brother,my grandfather was a gentelman landowner here in America at the turn of the century, in a place called Waymart,Pa.
Just really curious....
Peace
Nan B.
