Have you learned any more about the relationship between Silas and Samuel? I found the 1810 NY, Tioga Co., City Elmira, interesting. Page 71 listed as head of household: Samuel Beckwith, Richard Beckwith; Page 76 listed Henry Beckwith, Silas Beckwith, Daniel Beckwith.
I figured that this Silas Beckwith with a male between 16-26 could be the father of my Benjamin. Silas is over 45 years of age.
Samuel is only between 26-45 with one female child under age of 10. Your Samuel could be a child of Silas by his first wife. Perhaps Henry and Daniel are also his sons by first or second wife. I'd be glad to get any update you may have found since your earlier message.
