Ezekiel Brockway Beckwith was not Dyer's father. Ezekiel Beckwith (born c1737, still alive 1818) is thought to have been his father. Ezekiel B. had no land dealings with Dyer, Francis or Reed Beckwith. Ezekiel (c1737) had intimate dealings with the three and is thought to be their father. If your source of information was "The Beckwiths" by Paul Beckwith, you need to reconsider using it as a source. It is frought with errors. There is no proof (much less evidence) of the parentage of Matthew Beckwith of CT (a more likely birth year is 1612), and the Malebisse connection was proven false in about 1970. If you have any questions, please contact me. We need to get these false genealogical statements cleared up. Unfortunately most researchers assume that since Paul Beckwith published The Book, then all the information therein is true. Too much is false. See A.C. & E.S. Beckwith's "Beckwith Notes" volume 4 for a lenghty list of errors in Paul Beckwith's book.
