Francis E. Beckwith was NOT the son of Ezekiel Brockway Beckwith. His father is now thought to be Ezekiel Beckwith born c1737, still living in Oneida Co. NY as a Rev. War pensioner in 1818. Intimate land dealings in East haddam CT and Orwell VT and the fact that Francis witnessed Ezekiel's pension application in 1818 are the evidence used for indication that Ezekiel was Francis E. Beckwith's father. Ezekiel married Esther (----) who was alive in Orwell VT in 1807.
