Robert Becwith (sic)is in Washington Twp., Columbiana Co., OH in the 1880 census aged 60 so born ca. 1820. He was a coal miner. Says he was born Ohio as were both parents. If so his Beckwiths were very early settlers in Ohio prior to 1800. I do not think this family has CT connections. Probably the VA Beckwiths. Regards, Virgil Huntley
