I just found out my grandfather, Edward William Beckwith (5 Jun 1855-1 Mar 1937), was born in New York. That's all his death cert. states. He lived most of his life however in Minnesota. His son, my grandfather, a Robert W. Beckwith, is the one I am searching for. Edward was married to a Lena Berkness of MN. His death cert states his father was from England, that's all. Not a lot of help. Sound familiar?
