Rachel BECKWITH - COWAN/KINLOCH 1700s-1850s
Urgently seeking information on the family of my g-g-g-grandmother Ann KINLOCH. She was born ~ 1770s. Ann married a George COWEN in 1798 at St. Botolph without Aldgate (COE) in London, UK. George. George was baptised in 1768 at the same church too, the son of an Archibald COWEN and Margaret (maiden surname unknown). George & Ann had a son Frederick (my g-great-grandfather)who was born in 1799 however I have so far been unable to trace any other issue. I do know that when Ann married George she was listed as a widow, so I guess KINLOCH may have been a previous married surname (??) George's occupation is also unknown. The family lived in the Hoxton/Shoreditch area of London, exact address unknown. What happened to George & Ann during their later life in also unknown. It is interesting that their son Frederick 'surfaced' again in Bretton West, Yorkshire in 1826 when he married a Rachel BECKWITH so maybe the parents moved too?? Any descendants or anyone with information about these people is greatly appreciated. Maybe there are even photos of Frederick or other members of the family?? I am happy, of course to pay for copies. Can you please help me? Thanking you in anticipation. Regards, Rob Bell, West Essendon, Victoria, Australia.
