Hello,
I am trying to find the link(s) of Geo.and his brother, Samuel Beckwith , back to Matthew Beckwith 1(immigrent to CT., b. 1610). Geo and his brother, Samuel, were early settlers in the Ashtabula, Ashtabula Co., Ohio area. They came to Ohio from CT.. Geo. froze to death in abt. 1803/4 near Ashtabula,, Ohio. It is known that his brother, Samuel, died of suicide a few years later (abt. 1811?). Geo. was wed to Methetible Brockway. Samuel, it is believed, nerer wed. I am trying to discover who their parents and siblings were.
