I know the Maudlin Creed family history back into Gloucester. There is a lot of info on the Sir Marmaduke, County Clerk for so many years. But, there is precious little about my Marmaduke. I have scoured the county records and find literally nothing about him. It is strange how someone can appear, disappear, and no records seems to reflect the man.Maudlin by the way was a common name in the 1600s I do suspicion is is a british pronounciation of Magdalene. I have a relative named Hinshaw but by the time it got into spelling and usage, it was Hinchea! FEnton Wicker
