I just remembered I have another book with me today "Pioneers of Old Monocacy" by Grace Tracey and John Dern. Page 370 - Basil Beckith is in a listing of "Petitioners seeking Creation of Frederick County 1742"(through division of Prince Georges County). At that time Montgomery County was part of Prince Georges also; then Frederick. Montgomery was created in 1776. There are no other listings for Beckwiths in the index.
