The Beckwiths are a huge family. I come down from Mathew, Jr.s son, John, and his daughter, Griswold Beckwith, who married Eliakim Cooley. I helped research the Beckwiths in Lyme by a group searching the records of the 30 early settlers of Lyme. The Beckwiths were by far the most numerous. All of the searchers have passed on except myself and the vast amount of research was never published. Virgil
