the bectons re more widespread than you realise i myself was born in dublin ireland
and trace back to a richard and mary becton from co laois ireland formerly known as queens county ,from my perusal of the igi index i believe the becktons/bectons are decended from the same decendants and i would think that they origanated in the cumberland district of england .i am at the moment waiting for my brother to obtain information from england that may bear out this theory.iwould be grateful for any information regarding the bectons/becktons that you have as i am only just beginningto compile a history.
