Unfortunately, there IS alot of bad info out there. Johan [Sr] came to America in 1740. We believe he had 8 children:
Johan [Jr]1725-1812, Marillis 1730-?,Lawrence [1733-1802]; John [1734-?]; Michael [1736-?]; Peter [1738-1810/20]; Magdalena [1745-?], Henry [1750-1798/1800]. They settled in PA until about the end of 1780's. Johan [Jr]and Lawrence came down the Shenandoah Valley and settled in the area of Fincastle, VA [Botetourt County]. John and Michael both went to Middlesex County, NJ. Peter was in Hampshire County, Va for a short period of time and then moved on to Kentucky. Henry stayed in PA. I wish I could send you a book, as it traces every line, but they are out of print. If you can tell me more about what info you need, I could print it out and send it to you.
