3/12/02 John, I found your message about Susan Beckley. General ALFred Beckley settled Beckley, WVA. His father John could of named it but according to Alfreds Biography. John was a clerk of the House of Representatives. John it seems roam the country side and met a maiden who had his son John Clinton Beckley who he didn't know about for some time later when he went into Washington Co,Md again and look for her. A Ridenour we think was his mother and she would not marry John. I come from this John Clinton. He would be my gggrandfather. Alfred's Autobioraphy says he was the founder of Beckley,WVA. Not sure who this Susan F.Beckley is? If either of you have any information that would be helpful I would appreciate hearing. I have a lot from John Clnton down. Evelyn Beckley Fowler
