On page 69 in the book "The History of the Germans in Buffalo and Erie County, NY" the 1st German mayor of Buffalo was named Phillip Becker 1876-1877 and 1886-1889. Google the title to read more about the Beckers.
I'm looking for connections to my William Henry Hopkins b1838 in Springville, Erie County, NY whose father married @1830's a German woman whose maiden name began with B. If you have any Hopkins in your data please contact me.
