A biography of Hubert Beckers, Bigfork, MT, is included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 3, page 858.
Hubert was born, 12 Mar 1879, on the River Rhine, Germany, son of Charles and Mary (Kuhn) Beckers. In 1881, the family came to the US and for several years lived at St. Vincent, MN, where the father was employed by the Great Northern Railway. In 1892, the family moved to the Flathead country of Montana, settling in Kalispell. Hubert bought the 158 acre Cook Ranch on Big Fork.
Hubert married Miss Gina Cook, born in Butte, MT, daughter James and Margaret (Allen) Cook. Gina was educated in the schools of Kalispell, MT. Three children: Margaret, Cecelia Marie, Hubert, Jr., Bigfork, MT
