I am still trying to sort out the confusion about the two Becker lines as they relate to Marshall Becker. The Albert J. Becker you mentioned as the father of Marshall is shown in both the Aetna census of 1900 and 1910 as being single. There is no Marshall Becker living with Albert J. Becker. How than is this Albert J. Becker connected to Marie Blanchard and Marshall Becker. It sounds more like Marie Blanchard married Albert S. Becker based on the Michigan marriage and birth records that I have seen. Marshall Becker is shown as being born to Albert S. Becker and Minnie Blanchard in Gratiot Co, Michigan. Albert S. Becker and Minnie Blanchard were also married in Gratiot Co, Michigan. In the 1900 census, the only Marshall Becker who fits the age of the Marshall Becker who married Ola Hart, lives with the mother of Albert S. Becker. I assume that Minnie may have died prior to 1900 since another son Vern is found living with a sister of Albert S. Becker. There is no record of a Cecil Becker born to Albert and Minnie. Albert S. Becker than marries Nelia Phellips in 1903. What adds to Marshall's tie to Gratiot Co is that in 1920 Marshall and Ola Becker are living in Gratiot Co. The only part that does not make sense is when Marshall Becker marries Ola Hart it gives his parents correct names but states that he was born in Saginaw Co, Michigan. Could this be an error in the record or does the error lie elsewehre? That Daniel's sister in law, who appears to be in the Albert S. Becker line, has a copy of the wedding invitation for Marshall and Ola's wedding adds to this confusion. Anything that you or Richard can share that will help clear up this confusion will be greatly appreciated. John Lasher
