My husband's great-grandmother's name was Margaretha Becker. She was born 9 Feb 1840 in Baden Baden. She came to this country at the age of 22 on board the Bremen Bark "Laura" arriving in this country June 16, 1862. While on on board, she met and became acquainted with Nicolas Lenz and they were married on April 26, 1863 in Troy Grove IL. She went to the Troy Grove/Mendota area from New York where she disembarked. My husband's Aunt Bess believed that she had a sister who lived in Mendota IL and possibly brothers in Chicago area. Is there a possibility that she may have a link in your family tree? We have no other information on Margaretha Becker.
