My husband's great-grandmother's name was Margaretha Becker. She was born in Germany (we think in Baden Baden) on 9 February 1840. She came to NY on 16 Jun 1862 onboard the Bremen Bark Laura out of Antwerp. She went directly to ILL as she had relatives in IL. She had met my husband's great-grandfather Nicholas on the ship on the voyage over and were married on 26 April 1863. They settled in the Mendota IL area and later moved to the Danbury IA area. They were Catholics and are buried in St Patrick's Cemetary. Is this any relation to your Anna Maria Becker?
