I am looking for Walther Becker who was living at 80 Orchard St Newark, NJ around 1904. He is listed as the nearest relative of Otto Becker, Captain and Paymaster United States Army. Otto was born in Burschield, Prussia, Germany Oct. 4, 1841. I do not know when he came to the States. He joined the Army in 1861 serving in Co F 23rd Missouri Volunter Infantry. In 1862 he was promoted to the Paymasters and served until 1905 when he was retired as a Lt. Colonel. He lived in St Louis Mo until his death in 1928. I have found some other Beckers there and they maybe cousins, as info from the cemetery lists Otto as a family member. I know this is a big shot in the dark but help is needed.
