Garland, I forgot to ask you-did you ever know Hans' parents names? If he was only 10 when he immigrated, you may want to ck passenger records for ships coming into NY for the year of immigration. My family boarded from Antwerp, Belgium to Albany, NY, 1853. The more you can pinpoint the date and ports involved, the easier it is to find and to see who traveled together which helps when looking for parents and siblings. Jean
