Kay- I was running through the Baker forum and thought, heck, my family was called Baker, but we came from Germany.... (( no idea as to where, )) but I personally live in Germany for work at the moment, and have learned that the GERMAN form of Baker ``IS创 BECKER. I also noticed that you had a George Jakob Becker from Germany listed,who died 1855.... odd, I know that my immigrant ancester died approx 1845 and his name was Geroge Baker ``BECKER or BEKER创 . Did your George immigrate to PA.?? And was his wifes name Catherine?? I also noticed that you mentioned three sons GEORGE, JOHN, and MARTIN?? Was there by any chance a son by the name Jacob as well who later married a Eleanore McManus??...
