Kay-
I was running through the Baker forum and thought, heck, my family was called Baker, but we came from Germany.... (( no idea as to where, )) but I personally live in Germany for work at the moment, and have learned that the GERMAN form of Baker ``IS创 BECKER. I also noticed that you had a George Jakob Becker from Germany listed, who died 1855.... odd, I know that my immigrant ancester died approx 1845 and his name was Geroge Baker ``BECKER or BEKER创 . Did your George immigrate to PA.?? And was his wifes name Catherine?? I also noticed that you mentioned three sons GEORGE, JOHN, and MARTIN?? Was there by any chance a son by the name Jacob as well who later married a Eleanore McManus??...

My line follows as so....

1.)George Baker ``BEKER, BECKER创创b.approx. 1778 Germany- d. 1845 PA.???
+ Catherine - Germany
2.)Jacob创JAKOB创 Baker b.Dec 31, 1809 Indiana Co. PA. d. Jan. 14, 1902 Iowa
+ 1st (???) 2nd Eleanore McManus ??
3.) Samuel Baker b. Nov. 16, 1848 Indiana Co. PA. d. Oct. 1, 1907 Clrk. Co., Iowa
+ Lettice Ann Harrison ,Pleasantville, Marion Co., Iowa
etc etc etc...

If any of this rings a bell.... please feel free to email me, or leave a message.

Sincerly-
Scott Baker Trumbo
