Garland, the last time I was in the Allen Co. library, the book I needed was in use so I was unable to find a marriage lic. for your inquiry. I do know that other Beckers came here in the late 40's-1850's. I found records on Joseph, Conrad, Jacob as new settlers in Kendallville, IN-25 mi. north. Also, I think I still have a newspaper clipping about the Becker House, now a historic home here, and a discussion of its builder/owner who came in the mid 1800's. I don't recall the first name but I'll look for that tonight. See my posting on Maria Catherina also. We may be related but I'm finding our name is much more common than I thought. So far as I know now, I had no relatives in NY, PA, OH, etc. as my family came to Indiana w/in weeks of entering the U.S. I'll post again as I have more info.
