Hello Marcy-
I have a ggg grandfather who was born in germany. His name was William Becker. He married Magdalana Bopane (she fled South France to Germany). I would guess that he was born in the mid 1800's. His son- Frank- was a gymnast in the late 1800's Olympics in Athens for Germany. Frank eventually came to the US, b/c he married Emma Jane Dever of Philadelphia, PA. If you can find any information, I would be eternally grateful.
